More Abuse for Chuckette

As another baseline for baby G forces, I subjected Chuckette to the horrors of both “the fast swing” and “the karate chop.” These are two of my infant daughter’s favorites. Between the two of these horrible methods, I can quiet her in less than half a minute, and put her to sleep given another two or three. To protect the anonymity of this little one, I filmed Chuckette being subjected to the two techniques, and you see the graph of the G-forces that they produce below that. You will note, if you’re sharp, that the forces produced here are not far from those produced by some of the activities (biking and running) that are presumed by some people to be harmful to an infant. In some cases (such as the comparison to the bike trailer over smooth pavement) these activities exceed the so-called dangerous activities.
