Running with BOB

My mother-in-law was kind enough to take Chuckette out for a run in our BOB stroller, which is equipped with rear shocks. I can’t do this myself since I’m getting over a pretty gnarly ankle sprain. She told me she made no effort to avoid rough pavement, potholes, or other obstacles. As you can see in the graph, the ride was pretty smooth. In fact, it looks a lot smoother than just bouncing an infant on your knee. See Abusing Chuckette: The Knee Bounce for a comparison.

Baby Testbed

This was on the same path as some of the bike data you’ve seen here. Keep in mind, however, that the run speed here is much less than the bike speed (5 mph versus about 11 mph on the bike) and the bike trailer had no suspension.
